Franz’ congressional campaign off to strong start with significant fundraising and early endorsements

TACOMA – Hilary Franz raised more than $100,000 in just her first week campaigning to replace retiring Rep. Derek Kilmer in Washington’s 6th Congressional District.

Franz, who announced her congressional campaign with a new campaign ad on Nov. 10, has also racked up an impressive list of early endorsements, including from retiring Congressman Derek Kilmer and his predecessor, retired Congressman Norm Dicks. A list of Franz’ endorsers can be found online here.

“I’m proud of the momentum we’ve built in just the first weeks of this campaign, from an inspiring list of early endorsements to an overwhelming response from supporters and donors,” said Hilary Franz. “And of course, I’m honored to have the support and endorsements of both current Congressman Derek Kilmer and retired Congressman Norm Dicks, who combined have served and championed this district for 46 years.”

The $100,000 raised in the first week does not include any transfers from Franz’ previous campaign. In addition to endorsements from Kilmer and Dicks, Franz has garnered endorsements from the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, the Makah Tribe, the Suquamish Tribe, Gig Harbor firefighters Local 3390, the Washington Fire Chiefs, Teamsters Joint Council 28, the Olympic Peninsula Building Trades, LiUNA Local 252, and a number of current and former elected officials from communities across the district.
