Hilary Franz Announces 20th Labor Endorsement in Race for Sixth Congressional District

Mar 04, 2024

Franz has 10 times as many labor endorsements as all of her opponents combined

Tacoma, Washington – Today, Washington Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz announced that her campaign has earned the support of 20 local labor organizations, with the International Longshore & Warehouse Union Local 23, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 76, and International Association of Machinists District 160 joining a long list of union groups backing Franz.

This strong early labor support comes in addition to Franz’s endorsements from WA-06 incumbent Rep. Derek Kilmer, former WA-06 Rep. Norm Dicks, the National Organization for Women PAC, the Washington Fire Chiefs, local leaders from across the district and support from over 10 Washington state tribes.

“I am honored to have the working men and women of this district behind me in this race,” Franz said. “In the other Washington, I’ll work hard to pass the PRO Act, bring good-paying jobs to our state, and fight to lower the high cost of living, from housing to prescription drugs.”
